Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Premier Restaurants, the operator of McDonald's fast-food restaurants, is to create 300 new jobs in different Lithuanian regions. The company has launched a new recruitment campaign in Lithuania which aims at highlighting the importance of diversity, equal rights and opportunities in the workplace. According to the management, out of the 300 new jobs to be created, the company will offer 35 completely new positions (e.g., positions that will deal with equality issues for workers or working conditions for people with special needs). It is mainly looking for restaurante employees and personnel selection specialists.
Currently, Premier Restaurants employs 954 employees in Lithuania.
Premier Restaurants is operated by the Maltese company Premier Capital, which is operating McDonalds fast-food restaurants in the Baltic states, Greece, Romania and Malta.
