Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Evolutio, a Spanish company dealing with new technologies and digitalisation, plans to create 150 jobs in Jaén over the next year, at its new work centre specialising in cybersecurity and cloud services. In December 2021, Evolutio had 50 people working in that centre. Although there are no exact dates for job creation, Evolutio expects to have around 100 people working in summer 2022, and 150 by the end of 2022. More people will join in 2023. The profiles in demand refer to areas such as administration, network support, perimeter security, cloud services or IT software development. 80% of the professional profiles that Evolutio is looking for come from vocational training centres and 20% from universities. Evolutio is one of the top five Spanish technology companies. Its headquarters are in Madrid, although it has a new work centre in Jaén since the end of 2021.
