The Akt.io platform, created by the Irish subsidiary of Automata Group, is a ‘wealthtech’ platform aiming to democratise access to wealth management. It has collected a €27 million fundraising and is to create over 200 jobs in Biot. The reason behind the job creation is to boost its research and development activity.
The company is already present in Paris, Dublin, London, Berlin, and Dubai, and opened new offices in the technology hub of southern France, in Sophia Antipolis, in 2020, where it has recruited more than 100 people over the past eight months.
