Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Estonian-capital bank Luminor is to create 100 new jobs in Vilnius. Some of the positions will be customer service consultant, senior operational risk analyst, and project manager. The company has also announced to be ready to employ Ukrainian refugees. It plans to approach local organisations coordinating employment for refugees with the full list of vacancies and guidance on the application process. To support Ukrainian refugees, Luminor Bank is also providing several banking services for free, including account opening and a Debit card free of charge for 3 months in all Baltic states.
Currently Luminor Bank employs 965 employees in Vilnius.
Luminor Bank is the third largest bank in the Baltic States; it is headquartered in Estonia. On 2 January 2019, Luminor has completed the cross-border merger of the banks and since then continues its operations in all Baltic countries through Estonian bank and its registered branches in Latvia and Lithuania.
