Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Bank of Ireland is to create 130 new IT jobs in Ireland over the next year. The company has already started the recruitment and new positions will be for technical architects, software developers, engineers, project managers, and data analysts. New jobs will support the development of digital banking services for customers and will have a leading role in Bank of Ireland’s ongoing digital transformation programme.
The jobs will be on a flexible basis in line with the Bank’s flexible working policy; they can be based in any region of Ireland, with a combination of remote working and central office locations with access to a network of remote working hubs.
Seán Fleming TD, Minister of State for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance, welcomed the idea.
