Description

Kaufland, a German retailer, is to create 1,300 jobs by the end of 2022. 300 of the new jobs are for the Ukrainian refugees who wish to remain in Romania. This year the company intends to continue its expansion process by opening stores across the country.

The large German retailer has 1,350 stores in eight countries across Europe. As of January 2021, Kaufland has an estimated 15,000 employees working in its 151 stores and 2 logistics platforms in Romania. This makes the company the country's largest private employer.
