Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
American technology company Okta is to open a new office in Dublin in April 2022 and announced to create 200 jobs here over the next two years. New positions will be customer-facing roles in sales and marketing and also roles in research and development, HR and accounting. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements will be offered.
The company was founded in 2009; it provides cloud-based tools for identity verification and access management and serves over 15,000 organisations. It has 23 global offices, including the Dublin hub.
Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Leo Varadkar welcomed the announcement.
