The German company Lufthansa Technik, a provider of maintenance, repair, and operations services for airplanes, has annouced it will create 700 new jobs in Germany and most of those in Hamburg. The company announced that these new jobs are part of a larger employment package with 1,500 new jobs worldwide, with the recruitment process starting immediately. The company seeks to hire skilled workers in the areas of components, engines and logistics, sales, and IT. The initiative comes after a crisis-related restructuring phase in 2020 and 2021 and has been annouced as a step out of the Covid-19 crisis. In 2021, Lufthansa Technik's revenue grew to over € 4 billion and the company expects to reach pre-crisis level again in 2023.
