Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Enedis group, responsible for the management and development of the electricity network in France, has announced the recruitment of 2,200 employees in 2022. Among them, 1,000 will be on permanent contracts or fixed-term contracts of more than six months and 1,200 on work-study contracts of more than six months The goal is for the group to face strong business growth, around 10% in 2021, and with the prospect of continued growth in the next years. Enedis is looking for electrical engineers, cybersecurity engineers, electrical systems experts, as well as "connection" project managers and "connection" business managers. In addition, the group undelines its desire to attract women in order to continue the feminisation of the workforce. In 2021, women represented 24.65% of the company's employees. The company is organising a 100% digital recruitment forum on March 8 and 9, 2022.
Currently, Enedis employs 38,000 people. Previous business expansion was recorded on the ERM database in 2020, with 115 jobs created (Enedis-2020-FR).
