Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Tech multinational IBM has announced the recruitment of 200 people at its Irish offices in Dublin, Cork, and Galway. New roles will be in IT, R&D, digital sales, software development, digital security, and software engineering. The company specialising in cloud and artificial intelligence technologies aims to enhance its research, development, and innovation operations. Recruitment is already underway and is expected to be completed in the next months.
Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise Leo Varadkar and IDA Ireland welcomed the jobs announcement.
IBM operates in Ireland since 1956 and employs more than 3,000 people here.
