Utility contracting company Gaeltec has announced to create 150 new jobs in Kilkenny and Dublin. Gaeltec provides contracting support to companies involved in upgrading telecoms networks and energy infrastructure. New positions will be for junior and senior engineers, field surveyors, fibre technicians, GIS technicians, supervisors, designers, electricians, and plant operators. About 60 of the 150 new roles will support the SIRO project, which aims to provide gigabit broadband connectivity to 770,000 premises within the next four years.
