Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Customer experience multinational Telus International is to create 300 new jobs in Cork, Dublin, and Mayo. The company, which is headquartered in Canada, provides customer experience, technical support, and sales operations solutions to a range of companies. New roles will be in customer and technical support, shared services, cloud infrastructure and business intelligence analytics. Recruitment process has already begun, and all the roles are expected to be filled in 2022. New jobs will have on-site, remote and hybrid working options.
The company has also announced that it will invest €2 million in its Irish facilities. Currently, Telus International employs 2,000 people in Ireland.
