Description

The airline company Norwegian is reopening its base at Arlanda Airport, Stockholm, with 54 direct connections planned for the summer of 2022. The company is to hire 270 new cabin crew staff by the beginning of March 2022. It has already received more than 1,500 applications for the positions.

Norwegian has undergone heavy restructuring due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The cabin crew that will be recruited is the first Swedish-based flight crew the airline has had since the start of the health crisis.

Norwegian is the fourth largest low-cost carrier in Europe. At the end of 2021, Norwegian employed 3,600 people, of which 2,100 were based in Norway, where the company is originated.

Previous announcement was recorded on the ERM database in April 2020, with 400 job cuts.
