Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Global logistics company CEVA Logistics has announced that it will create 1,000 jobs at its distribution centre in Magnice, close to Wrocław. The company has won a five-year contract with ABOUT YOU, one of Europe’s fastest-growing fashion platforms, to provide e-commerce activities. CEVA will manage a highly automated facility with a space of 40,000 square meters. New positions will be for team leaders, HR specialists, financial analysts, and IT specialists, who will be provided with special training.
CEVA Logistics was founded in 2007 and provides and manages transportation and supply-chain solutions for large or medium sized national and global companies. The company employs about 78,000 staff at its 1,000 facilities in more than 160 countries.
ABOUT YOU was founded in Germany in 2018. The company operates in 15 countries in Europe.
