Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Lithuanian electronics manufacturer Teltonika EMS (Electronic, manufacturing and product design services) is to create 500 new jobs in Moletai in 2022. Teltonika EMS started building a new technology centre in Moletai at the end of 2021 and the centre is expected to be opened in September of 2022. The centre will have offices, laboratories, testing and production lines for telemedicine and networking devices. The new Teltonika branch will create around 500 new jobs for technologists, electronics designers and engineers, programmers, managers, testers, assemblers and other professionals. According to the management, the team will constantly be growing throughout the whole period up to the opening of the technology centre. The largest recruitment campaign will take place in the second quarter of 2022.
Teltonika EMS is a fast-growing electronics manufacturer based in Vilnius which produces a combination of electronics design services and contract manufacturing . Currently the company employs 542 employees in Vilnius. Teltonika EMS belongs to Teltonika IoT Group. By 2025, the Teltonika IoT Group plans to increase the number of employees in Lithuania up to 3,000.
