Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Spanish public-owned railway network operator Adif has announced the call of 280 new jobs in 2022. The new positions will cover several professional groups: 43 entry-level administrative officers (reserved for people with disabilities), 93 middle and senior managers (architects, engineers, computer scientists, etc.), and 10 high-speed technicians. This expansion is part of Adif's Multiannual Employment Plan 2021-2025, under which the company is allowed to create up to 6,170 public employment positions to meet the demands of the railway service. This job offer is in addition to the call for 1,690 jobs in June 2021 to renew staff in retired personnel positions.
