Description
Ferretti Tech, part of the Ferretti Group, Italian world leader in the design, construction and sale of luxury motor and pleasure yachts, will invest in Taranto for the creation of a shipyard, which will lead to the creation of around 200 jobs.
The investment plan foresees the construction of buildings and warehouses covering approximately 65,500 square meters. 62.6 million euros will be invested by Ferretti Tech, while another 137.6 million of public funds will be invested, with a direct participation of the Puglia Region of 41.5 million euros. Public funds will have the goal of ensuring the full environmental recovery of the area where the investment is planned. On December 23, the Committee for Economic Planning and Sustainable Development (Cipess) has given the final approval for the attribution of public resources to the investment.
Ferretti Tech is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ferretti Group, which is the second largest nautical group in the world, with 1500 employees and 700 million euro revenues.
