The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Telecommunications operator Orange Polska has announced that it will cut up to 1,400 jobs across Poland throughout a voluntary dismissal programme in the years 2022-2023 (760 in 2022 alone). The restructuring programme is part of a new Social Agreement with trade unions for 2022-2023. Redundant workers will receive a severance pay according to their seniority; the company is to offer outplacement support. Under that same deal, Orange will also increase basic salaries by 4% in 2022 and by at least 4% in 2023.
Orange Polska is the leader on the Polish fixed-line telephony, internet, and data transmission market.
Previous restructuring programme was announced in November 2019 (920 jobs cut).
