Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French building materials supplier group Saint-Gobain has announced the creation of about 36,000 new jobs worldwide in 2022. About 7,500 positions, including 3,500 jobs for young people under 26, are expected to be created in France. Saint-Gobain is to recruit for a wide range of candidates: sales consultants, production and maintenance staff, logistics staff, managers, engineers, cyber security experts, data science specialists, research and development and sustainability experts. The group has committed to decarbonizing the construction and industrial markets by 2050. Its aim is to become a leader in sustainable construction worldwide.
Saint-Gobain designs, manufactures, and distributes materials and solutions for the construction, healthcare, and manufacturing industry. Currently, the company employs about 167,000 employees in 72 countries worldwide.
