Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
LogiRAIL, a subsidiary of the public company RENFE specializing in logistics and technological services for the railway sector, expects to create 400 jobs by 2024 as part of Renfe's plan to internalise technological services provided by third parties, and to provide them from different parts of the country. This employment will be created in different technological centres in various sparsely populated but logistically relevant areas of Spain in the railway network: 15 to 25 jobs in Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real), 11 in Teruel, 40 in Miranda de Ebro (Burgos), 85 in Mérida (Badajoz) and 180 in Linares (Jaén), among other places.
The plan to internalize and relocate these functions has already started and the 400 positions will be created gradually.
