Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Mechanical and electrical consultancy Ethos Engineering is to create 150 new jobs over the next four years. The new jobs are part of expansion programme that includes a plan to double revenues to €30 million by 2025. Recruitment has begun for some of the new roles, including engineers and administrative staff. The company said the new roles are in line with a restructuring of the business to focus on six key areas, including sustainability and smart buildings.
The company currently employs 110 people in Ireland.
