Description
The Swedish railway company, SJ, is opening up 145 new job positions. The company is recruting over 125 train hosts and the recruitment of 20 new train drivers is already underway. The recruitment will take place in Stockholm, Malmö, Gothenburg and Gävle.
The reason for the new recruitment is the increased demand for train travel. The posts in question are both permanent and temporary. The recruitment will take place in the autumn and winter of 2021.
In addition to the recruitment, SJ has recently decided to purchase 25 new regional trains to meet the increased interest in climate-smart, comfortable and efficient rail travel.
According to SJ's Deputy CEO, the upcoming recruitments and the investment in new regional trains are powerful investments for the future and the company expects the demand for train services to increase further.
SJ is a state-owned railway company founded in 2001. The company employs over 5,000 people.
