Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The luxury clothing group, Les Ateliers FIM, has announced the opening of a new luxury leather goods workshop: the activity will start during the first half of 2022 in a rental workshop in Laval (Mayenne), while a new production site is being built in Louverné (Mayenne). About 250 people are being employed within six years. All the new employees will be trained. The company will set up a training programme with the Public Employment Service (Pôle Emploi) and the regions. 90 percent of the candidates should be job seekers.
Les Ateliers FIM is a family-owned group specialised in luxury clothing based in Fougères (Ille-et-Vilaine). It has already three sites in Brittany and one in the Pays de la Loire region, and employs nearly 600 people.
