Description

The Polish Ministry of Interior and Administration (Ministerstwo Spraw Wewnętrznych i Administacji) has announced a PLN 10 billion (€2.17 billion) investment programme scheduled to 2022-2025, aimed at modernising and developing Poland’s uniformed services. The Ministry has announced the creation of 9,000 positions in uniformed services across the country.

About 7,500 full-time jobs are expected to be created in the police force (Policja). They include 1,800 positions at a new division, the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime; 3,600 positions in prevention divisions; 2,000 positions to expand or create police stations in small towns. Moreover, 750 jobs are to be created in the State Fire Service (Państwowa Straż Pożarna, PSP). Additional 750 positions are to be created in the Border Guard, to patrol only the eastern border. The Ministry has also announced that a 180-kilometre-long barrier is being built along Poland's border with Belarus.
