Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Brainconf, a Romanian garments manufacturer, has announced that it will create 150 new jobs at its Braila plant (Braila County). The company intends to increase its production capacity which requires additional workforce. The company is looking for skilled sewing machine operators as well as for workers who could fill jobs involved in the production process.
The pandemic was used by management as an opportunity to update the retail strategy of the company.
The company was established in 1950 and was privatised in 1990. Since its establishment the company expanded to markets outside Romania which include Italy, France, Sweden, the Russian Federation and Norway.
As of December 2020, Braiconf has an employee base of approximately 648.
