Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Rossum, the Czech start-up which is developing a platform for processing documents between companies using Artificial Intelligence (AI), is expanding its business, and is recruiting at least 100 specialists over a period of one or two years. The company is hiring experts in artificial intelligence, product development, sales, and marketing. Rossum has received around CZK 2.20bn (€ 86.59mn) from an investment led by the US venture capital fund General Catalyst. The company plans to build a research centre in Prague for further development of AI technology in partnership with Czech universities.
The start-up was founded in 2017 by three artificial intelligence researchers. Rossum deals with large companies: Czech customers such as Rohlík.cz or Kiwi, and global companies such as Siemens, Veolia, and Bosch.
