Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The US-based medical device producer Zimmer Biomet has announced that it plans to create 120 new jobs at its unit in Warsaw. The company has just launched a shared services centre (Global Business Services Centre) in the city, and the first stage of the business expansion, Zimmer Biomet is to hire specialists in finance, logistics, HR, administration, marketing and law. At a later stage, job creation is expected to reach a target of 350 new employees.
Zimmer Biomet was founded in 1927 to produce aluminium splints. Currently, the company operates in more than 25 countries and sells its products in more than 100 countries worldwide. The company designs, manufactures and sell solutions that support orthopaedic surgeons.
