Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German plastic components producer Wirthwein Polska, a subsidiary of Wirthwein group, has announced that it will create about 100 jobs at its new production facility in Łódź.
The recruitment process has already started, and the company is looking for technologists, production line setters, maintenance staff, mechanics, electricians, toolmakers, automation staff, quality engineers, machine operators and logistics staff. The factory is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2022. The company has leased more than 6,000 square meters of manufacturing and office space at the MLP Łódź logistics and distribution centre.
Founded in 1949, Wirthwein group has 22 branches and employs more than 3,500 people worldwide. The company produces plastic components for the household appliances, automotive, railway, and electrotechnical sectors. Wirthwein Polska, largest subsidiary within Wirthwein group, has been operating since 1998. Currently, the company employ about 400 employees in the country.
