Description
The Ministry of the Armed Forces has announced the recruitment of 770 cyber fighters in addition to the 1,100 initially planned in the 2019-2025 Military Programming Law.
While France has had a military cyber defence command since 2017, the military programming law initially provided for a budget of €1.6 billion for cyber defence and the recruitment of 1,100 additional cyber fighters. Given the multiplication and seriousness of cyber-attacks, the Minister of the Armed Forces decided to intensify recruitment to reach 5,000 employees in 2025 within the armies, the Directorate General of Armaments (DGA), and the French Foreign Intelligence Service.
