Facebook, the US-based social media platform, has announced that it will create 500 jobs in its operations centre in Gdańsk by 2023. Assuming a constant recruitment pace, this would represent a job creation of 300 by mid-2022.
The centre will support small and medium-sized companies in promotional campaigns on the portal and in related applications: Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram. Initially, the centre will provide services only in Polish and Russian; in the future, it will also include services in Czech, Hungarian, Romaniam, Germany and English.
Founded in 2004, Facebook currently employs over 60,600 people worldwide.
