Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Poczta Polska, the Polish national postal operator, has announced that it plans to create about 500 new jobs at its sorting offices across Poland. Poczta Polska is looking for sorting staff an drivers for sorting offices located in Szczecin, Koszalin, Niepołomice, Lublin, Łódź, Pruszcz Gdański, Kielce, Olsztyn, Ostrołęka, Białystok, Katowice, Wrocław, Siedlce, Ciechanów, Lisi Ogon and Zabrze. The company will provide special training for new employees.
Currently, Poczta Polska employs about 80,000 people across the country.
Previous restructuring programmes announced in recent years: February 2019 (120 jobs created), June 2019 (190 jobs created), August 2019 (360 jobs created), January 2020 (700 jobs cut), October 2020 (3,500 jobs cut) January 2021 (2,000 jobs cut), July 2021 (270 new jobs in Warsaw, and 160 in Lublin).
