Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Professional services firm EY is to create 800 jobs over the next year. The new roles will be in all seven of the company's offices in the island. About 600 of the new roles will be based in Dublin with the remainder in Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford and Belfast (in the UK).
Approximately half of the role will be for experienced professionals, with the other half being graduate roles.
The new jobs will span a range of specialties including tax, audit, consulting, economics, law, sustainability, technology and cyber-security, amongst others.
After the new roles are filled, the company will employ 4,200 on the island.
