Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
PM Group, an international project management company which specialises in construction, is to create 200 jobs in Ireland throughout the rest of 2021. The jobs are part of 400 new jobs which are to be created by the company internationally. COVID-19 related construction projects in the pharma sector (including vaccine manufacture) in particular have boosted company activity and two-thirds of company turnover in 2020 was in this sector.
PM Group has a workforce of 3,200 people in Europe, North America and Asia. The company’s headquarters are in Ireland.
The new roles will span a range of disciplines including architecture, engineering, construction, data analytics, project controls and environmental.
Recruitment for the new positions is already underway and is expected to continue throughout the year.
