European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Bucharest District 6 Local Police will undergo a restructuring process that will lead to the firing of 100 police officers. The Local Council adopted the draft proposal of the restructuring of the Local Police Directorate General. The document mentions that 100 police officers will be fired because of poor performance. Each police officer will be required to take a competency test in the following months, with 100 worst performers having their employment contracts terminated.
Representatives of the police trade unions oppose the reorganization of the Local Police and voiced objections to the draft proposal.
The restructuring process will be finalized by the end of 2021.
