Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Daikin Industries, a Czech subsidiary of Germany-based manufacturer of household air conditioners, plans to employ 120 people at its Pilsen site. Daikin has launched a motivational campaign to attract more job seekers, offering a recruitment bonus of CZK 50,000 (€ 1,967) and a free taxi roundtrip for those attending the job interview.
Daikin immediately needs 20 technical engineers. Another 100 jobs to be created are development, production and testing engineers, quality and control engineers, designers, mechatronics, logisticians, electricians, production operators, printers and truck drivers.
Daikin Industries has started building a second production plant in the Borská pole industrial zone in May 2021. The company plans to increase its production capacity to over two million air-con units in 2025.
Dalkin started its operation in Czech Republic since 2005 and had several restructuring events. The company created 250 jobs in 2010, 100 jobs in 2006, and 350 jobs in 2005 when launching its first site in Czech Republic.
