Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
US-based off-price clothing and home accessories retailer TJX Europe, a subsidiary of TJX Companies, announced that it will create at least 300 jobs at its new logistics centre in Nowy Kisielin near Zielona Góra in the coming months. The unit, consisting of 20,000 square meters, was launched on 21 July 2021, and it will serve as a temporary site until the construction of the company's biggest European centre in neighbouring Sulechów will be finished.
TJX is a leading supplier of clothes and home accessories. The company has over 4,500 shops in 9 countries (USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Germany, Poland, Austria, the Netherlands, Australia), four e-commerce sites and employs approximately 320,000 employees worldwide.
