Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Latvian company Printful has announced that it will create 170 jobs at its new branch in Łódź in the coming years. The new site is expected to be operational by the end of 2021 and will specialise in providing ‘cut & sew’ services, a technique that allows for the production and full personalisation of prints on clothes. The anticipated outlays for the investment will amount to PLN 7 million (€1.53 milion). The investment is supported by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. The centre will be part of the international network of Prinful plants and strenghthen the company’s presence in European markets.
