Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
German automotive company Daimler announced that it will create about 3,000 jobs worldwide. About 1,000 positions will be created at the company’s plant in Sindelfingen, Germany. Other 2,000 people are expected to be hired at Daimler’s tech hubs in Germany, Israel, the United States, Japan, China, India. The business expansion is part of the company’s shift toward electric engines, digitisation and decarbonisation.
The Sindelfingen site will be the new central campus for the development of the operating system MB.OS. The competence centre is expected to be launched at the beginning of 2022. The company is looking for programmers, IT specialists and driving assistance experts.
Daimler is a German multinational automotive corporation. The company employs over 288,000 people worldwide.
