Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Polish IT services company Billennium has announced that it will create 300 new jobs worldwide by the end of 2021. Under the business expansion, about 300 jobs will be created at the company’s units located in Poland, India, Malaysia, and Germany.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the company’s revenues increased by over 33% year-on-year, reaching PLN 220 million (€48.89 million), and its employment increased by over 20 percent. In March 2021, the company created Billennium GmbH, a subsidiary responsible for operations in the DACH region.
The company Billennium has been operating since 2003. The company specialises in innovative IT solutions, including software maintenance and development, cloud computing. Currently, the company employs over 1,300 people at its seven locations in Poland and at offices in the United States, Germany, India, and Malaysia.
