Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Back-office company Standard Chartered announced that it plans to increase its employment at its Global Business Services centre in Warsaw in the near future. The company is currently recruiting for 190 new positions for its 12 competence units, including transaction analysis and information flow in terms of fraud detection, risk management and cybersecurity. Furthermore, the centre provides back-office services to the group's subsidiaries, including financial operations, technology services, cybersecurity services and banking operations.
The company started its operations in Warsaw in September 2018. Currently, Standard Chartered Global Business Services employs over 750 people at its Warsaw unit; its headquarters are located in London, while the group operates in more than 70 countries worldwide.
