Description

Boekenvoordeel, a chain of bookstores in the Netherlands and Belgium, is planning to close 11 to 21 of its 86 Dutch stores. The closure will lead to about 130 job cuts. The Dutch branch of Boekenvoordeel went into bankruptcy in April 2021, as the stores were forced to close for a long time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company was then re-acquired by the original owners.

In the coming weeks, the company will announce the final number of stores that will be restarted.

Boekenvoordeel is a chain of bookstores with 86 stores in the Netherlands and 26 stores in Belgium.
