Lithuanian company Saugos Paslaugos, providing security services to Lithuanian Railways, is to dismiss 315 employees in Vilnius. Such information was provided by the Lithuanian Employment Service. The company has already handed out layoff notices to 315 employees.
Saugos Paslaugos will dismiss the employees since it has lost a tender for security services, which was announced by the Lithuanian Railways. According to the Lithuanian Railways, the security services from now on will be provided by another company that has won the tender.
According to the management, all employees will receive the benefits to which they are entitled; furthermore, some redundant employees might be employed in the company that has won the tender.
Saugos Paslaugos is a company providing security, maintenance, repair and building management services to the Lithuanian Railways. The company was established in June 2019 after the reorganisation of Gelsauga company. Currently, Saugus paslaugos employs 342 employees. The Lithuanian Railways is currently the sole shareholder of Saugos paslaugos.
