Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
McDonald’s announced that it will create 1,000 new jobs in Romania by the end of 2021. The new jobs are located across the 27 cities where the company currently operates. Vacancies are for restaurant crew members, hostesses, guest experience leaders and manager trainees.
Last year, the company advertised 500 new jobs as a result of an ample expansion process.
Premier Restaurants Romania which owns the McDonald’s franchise was established in 1995 and invested more than €160 million in Romania. The company operates 87 stores in 27 cities and employs more than 5,000 workers across Romania. Premier Restaurants Romania is owned by the Premier Capital investment fund registered in Malta. The fund, which took over McDonald's Romania in 2016, also operates the McDonald's franchise in Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Greece.
