Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The US-based global medical device company Align Technology has announced that it will create over 2,500 jobs at its new production unit in Wrocław by the end of 2025. The factory is expected to be operational in early 2022, and the recruitment process has been launched. It will be the company’s first factory in Europe; the company is to strengthen its position in the EMEA region.
Align Technology was founded in 1997 in California, the United States; the company produces 3D digital scanners and Invisalign clear aligners used in orthodontics. The company has its production facilities in Mexico, Israel and China.
