Description
TAB Mežica, a producer of batteries for the industrial and automotive sectors, is to create 100 jobs as the company plans to expand production in Prevalje. It has bought the abandoned plant of the pharmaceutical company Lek (a member of Novartis group) to launch the production of lithium-ion cells in Prevalje. It will be a joint venture with Chinese company Haidi Energy Technology which will provide technology for the production of lithium-ion cells. The operation TAB-Haidi will be in combined ownership of TAB and the Chinese partner. TAB management plans to create 300 jobs in the next five years.
