Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The German pharmaceutical company Bayer has announced that it will create up to 400 jobs at its Digital Hub in Warsaw by the end of 2022. The unit is expected to be launched in July 2021, and it will focus on innovative digital solutions for Bayer’s Crop Science, Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Health divisions. The company is looking for IT specialists, especially engineers with expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence and operations research. Additionally, the hub will also hire cyber security specialists. The unit will be part of Bayer’s global network focusing on the acceleration the digital transformation of the company. The Warsaw team will closely collaborate with IT teams working in Germany, the USA and other countries around the world.
