Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Vertiv Croatia Ltd, part of the group Vertiv, a global supplier of critical digital infrastructure and business continuity solutions, is to hire 150 people in Rugvica, near the capital Zagreb.
Vertiv is to open a new €10 million production facility for integrated modular solutions. The rapid growth in prefabricated data centres is driven by operators who need to bring IT online not just fast, but cost-efficiently and in a scalable fashion.
In 2020, analytics firm Omdia ranked Vertiv Croatia Ltd. as one of the leading suppliers in the fast-growing modular data centre market, with the second-largest market share in the world. The new production plant will double the capacity of data centres in the region, which confirms the great business importance not only for Croatia but for the entire region.
