Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Austrian fintech company Bitpanda has announced that it will create 300 jobs at its Innovation and Technology Centre in Kraków. The company is looking for IT specialists, especially programmers anf engineers. Under the business expansion, the company plans to invest €10 million in the city of Kraków.
The source reports that Bitpanda has closed its Series B funding round, raising $170 million (€141.67 million) and gaining the status of a unicorn startup with $1.2 billion (€999.96 million) in valuation.
Bitpanda has been operating since 2014; the company is a fintech based in Vienna, Austria. The company operates as a ‘neobroker’, providing platform for cryptocurrency. Currently, the company has 2 million users and more than 400 team members. In Poland, the company has been operating since 2020.
