Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Marquardt, a German electronic systems, sensors and controls manufacturing company, announced the expansion of its research and development centre in Sibiu. The company will create 100 new positions by the end of 2021. The roles include engineers and experts in innovative mechatronics, who will support the activities in Germany, Republic of North Macedonia, Tunis and Romania.
The research and development centre in Sibiu was established in 2008. The group's Romanian subsidiary Marquardt Schaltsysteme SCS has been operating in Sibiu since 2006 with a local workforce of 2,500 employees working across three sites. The company’s’ newest services centre Marquardt Business Services was opened in 2020.
