Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The French call centre company Armatis has announced the creation of 1,000 jobs at its 11 sites in France in 2021, at its sites in Nevers, Châteauroux, Caen and Auxerre, as well as in Île-de-France. Considering that 40 recruitments are temporary positions, 960 are considered as the net job creation. New roles will support energy, e-commerce and telecom companies..
Armatis is specialised in the provision of call centre and customer services. It currently employs 9,000 people worldwide on 21 sites in 4 countries (France, Poland, Portugal, Tunisie) and on homeshoring positions (4,500 positions of employees working from home with no precise location). 85% of the workers are employed on permanent employment contracts.
